ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders have terminated an employee one day after a video emerged in which he made inflammatory remarks about the team’s players, criticized Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and disparaged NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Rael Enteen, who had served as the team's vice president of content for the past four years, also mocked fans, referring to them as "mouth breathers."

On Thursday, a team spokesperson confirmed Enteen's dismissal but declined to provide further details. The decision followed a suspension announced on Wednesday, shortly after a video from O'Keefe Media Group was circulated on social media. In the video, Enteen, who had met the undercover reporter on the dating app Hinge, made controversial statements during two meetings in June at Washington, D.C. restaurants.

In the initial response, the team stated it would review the situation. Less than a day later, Enteen was let go. A Commanders spokesperson commented, “The language used in the video is inconsistent with the values of the Commanders organization.”

In the video, Enteen claimed that over 50% of the team's roster is composed of "white religious" players, whom he accused of holding anti-gay views. He also labeled some African American players as coming from a "homophobic" community. Enteen further criticized the NFL's social justice efforts, describing them as "performative" and motivated by profit rather than genuine concern.

Enteen disparaged the NFL's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), suggesting it was merely for public relations. He also ridiculed fans, describing them as "high-school-educated alcoholics" and "mouth breathers," and criticized some players' intelligence and susceptibility to conspiracy theories.

Additionally, Enteen admitted to misrepresenting the state of FedEx Stadium in response to fans' complaints about leaking pipes, calling his actions "state-run media" to maintain a positive public image.
